Review - Sigur Ros: Takk

C'mon admit it, you have at least one Enya CD in your collection. It's ok, many of us do. If you're looking for something ethereal to put on in the background, Takk may be the CD for you. Sigur Ros is slowly becoming...dare I say...accessible? That doesn't mean there are any hits on this disc, just a collection of...songs I guess as I have know idea what this Icelandic band is singing about. Sigur Ros combines avant garde musicianship with vocals and strings that isn't quite rock but stays away from new age territory. I like to think of Takk as a soundtrack to a great David Lynch movie that has yet to be created.
