Review - Feist: Let It Die
Let It Die

Having difficulty describing someone's music can often be a positive attribute. This is definitely the case on Feist's Let It Die. Gifted with an original yet wonderful voice, Feist is savvy enough not to show all of her cards on this recording. Although her vocals command attention on their own merit, they never assault the listener's senses with histrionics and acrobatics. For my money the instrumentation used is the star of this disc as vibes, 70s era sounding synths, subtle electronica, and assorted strings weave in and out of the songs, always keeping it interesting. I wish I could describe this music but for now I'll just enjoy it.
