Review - Tool: 10,000 Days
Tool

Tool's brilliance as a heavy rock band comes not only in their song writing and musicianship, but also in their ability to adapt to the current music climate. Their sound has not changed that much in 15 years, although it is now, more than ever, much more technically perfect, exploratory and introspective. They are timeless. Which made them successful after their 1992 debut, and which contributes to their continued success today, even without radio play or hoards of interviews.

On "10,000 Days," Tool are masterful - blending metal angst with dark introspection, as only they can. The packaging (including a working stereoscope) is worth the price alone. Don't look for any radio-friendly, 3-minute-ditties. But do expect an 11-minute-opus or 2. Plenty of time to rock, and plenty of time to reflect.

Pay attention to: "Jambi", "Rosetta Stoned"
