Review - Eagles of Death Metal: Peace Love Death Metal

"Peace Love Death Metal" from Eagles of Death Metal, a side project of Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, came out almost 2 years ago. Ok, so I admit to being late on this one. What do you want? I'm HalfSquare! Anyhoo, if punk rock was invented on a California beach in the 50's, I imaging this is what it would sound like.

Did I just say "anyhoo?"

Don't expect any virtuous instrumentation. This is not what "Peace Love Death Metal" is about. This record is about fun, I imagine. Blending rock, punk, and blues with low production quality, the best way to put it, is in the words of one anonymous reviewer...when listening to it "dance in a cocky yet incompetent fashion."
